Delivery in Kenya costs KSh 150–500 in Nairobi and more upcountry. If you don't plan for it, it comes straight out of your profit.
Set delivery zones
Under Dashboard → Delivery, create zones like 'Nairobi CBD — KSh 150', 'Rest of Nairobi — KSh 250', 'Countrywide courier — KSh 400'. Customers pick their zone at checkout and the fee adds to the total automatically.
Use free-delivery thresholds
'Free delivery above KSh 3,000' raises your average order size — customers add an item to qualify. It also absorbs the fee into your margin on bigger orders where you can afford it.
Offer pickup
Always keep pickup enabled. A surprising share of customers near your shop will choose it, and it costs you nothing.
Communicate the dispatch time
Write your dispatch promise in product descriptions — 'ships in 24 hours' beats silence. Uncertainty kills more sales than the delivery fee itself.
