You don't need a developer or a big budget to sell online. You need a name, a WhatsApp number, and your first product. Here's the fastest path.
1. Create your shop
Register on Shops in Kenya with your email, pick your business type, and choose a shop link like shops.co.ke/your-shop. That link is your storefront — share it anywhere.
2. Add your first product
Give it a clear name, a price in KSh, one good photo (your phone camera is fine — shoot near a window), and a short description of what the buyer gets. You can add sizes, colours, or other variants later.
3. Set up payments
On the free plan you can take orders via WhatsApp and add manual payment instructions — your Till number, PayBill, or cash on delivery. Upgrade when you're ready for automatic M-PESA STK push and card payments.
4. Share your link
Put your shop link in your WhatsApp status, Instagram bio, and TikTok. Every product has its own link too, so you can share a single item directly to a customer who asks 'how much?'
5. Get found
Turn on 'Shops Near Me' listing and set your county and town. Customers searching Shops in Kenya or Google can discover you by location and category.
